No need to stop your server to change a setting anymore. On every Drooft game, settings can now be changed from the website whether the server is stopped or running. Your players keep playing, and the new values apply at the next restart.
You always know what is live. A value changed since the last start is shown in orange on your server page, with a message reminding you that it will take effect at the next restart. After that restart, the orange goes away: what you see is what is running. Tip: a scheduled restart applies your changes automatically, at the time of your choice.
World settings are protected. Some settings are only used to create the world, on the very first start: changing them afterwards would have no effect. They are now locked (padlock) once the world has been created, and can be changed again after reinstalling the server, which starts over with a brand-new world.
- Eco: world, meteor and biomes
- Terraria: difficulty, world size, seed and secret seed
- Romestead: world size and seed
- Satisfactory: starting location
What still requires a stopped server: the server name, ports and access type, passwords, Team Fortress 2 mods and Counter-Strike 2 plugins (installed right away), and restoring a backup.
New settings for four games.
- Valheim: world rules (no map, free building, passive enemies, raids based on each player's progress), crossplay with Xbox, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Game Pass, admins, allow list and banned players (bans made in game are automatically synced back to the website), save and backup frequency
- Soulmask: experience, gathering, crafting time, carry weight, hunger and thirst, day length, recruits and tribe members, animals, invasions, building decay, PvP damage and hours, saves
- Romestead: world size and seed
- Terraria: welcome message, enemy smoothness and secret seeds (Drunk World, For the Worthy, Not the Bees, Zenith…)
