Soulmask
Soulmask is an open-world survival game developed by CampFire Studio and published by Qooland Games. The adventure takes place in a world inspired by primitive civilizations and tribal cultures, where players must survive in a wilderness teeming with danger.

After discovering a mysterious ancient mask with special powers, the player gains the ability to control different warriors and inherit their skills. This unique mechanic allows players to adapt their playstyle to different situations, whether it's combat, exploration, or crafting.

The gameplay combines resource gathering, village building, farming, hunting, and combat against wild creatures or enemy tribes. Players can recruit companions, grow their community, and automate certain tasks to improve their camp.

With its vast open world, in-depth survival system, and tribal management mechanics, Soulmask offers an immersive experience that blends exploration, strategy, and progression in a hostile and mysterious environment.

Deploying a server

Prerequisites: Having a hosting on which the Drooft Game Hosting service is installed.
If you haven't already done so, please follow theinstallation guide for the Drooft Game Hosting service.

Installing a Soulmask game server takes between 5 and 10 minutes, mostly due to the game server download time!

Step 1:

Go to the page adding game server and provide the following information:

  • Choice of host : Choose which hosting the game server will be deployed on
  • Game : Choose the game to deploy (so Soulmask)
  • Game server name : Name your game server so that it is easily identifiable to you
  • Game port : Enter the server port (make sure the port is open in UDP/TCP on the internet)
  • Game Port 2 : Enter the server's second port (make sure the port is open for UDP/TCP on the internet)
  • RCON port : Enter the server's RCON port (make sure that the port is not open for UDP/TCP on the internet)
  • Access type : Choose the access mode to your server (password, friends)

Note: Port 18888 is used internally by Soulmask. This port cannot be used and should not be exposed to the internet.


Once the above information has been entered, you will be redirected to your server's administration page.


Step 2:

Wait a few minutes for the server to go into the state "Game server turned off" (depending on the speed of your internet connection).


Start your server (button "to start up").

If your server is on Windows, you may be prompted to install a dependency, click accept.


The game server is ready, all you have to do is play et invite your friends !


Tips:

1. Check that the server port is open to the internet (UDP and TCP). You can use online tools like "https://portchecker.co/check-v0" to confirm your network stream opening.


Customizing Server Settings

A number of game server settings can be changed directly from the site. This list is constantly evolving.


Below is the list of already supported options:

  • Password : Allows you to join the game (single player)
  • Admin password : Allows you to join the game server in administrator mode (access to options)
  • Maximum number of players : Allows you to choose the maximum number of simultaneous players on the server
  • PvP or PvE : Enable or disable PvP on the server
  • Map selection : Allows you to choose the game map from the list of available options.

As well as these advanced options:

  • Equipment durability : Allows you to define the wear on equipment

Other options may be added in the future, depending on needs.
